Wikia Policy List

Vampire Knight wiki has a reasonably stern policy regarding talk pages here. A talk page is a place on your account where other users, and if you decide to, even you can edit and leave messages on. You can edit other people's talk pages too, of course, given that they are not in violation of any policies, especially, and obviously, this one.

Below is more information.

What Exactly is a Talk Page on Wikia?

A talk page is a place on your account where you and others can leave messages about topics, which should be wiki-related. You leave messages often under a new heading, unless it is something related to a former one, so that the other user can read it more easily at the bottom of the page. Sign your edits with a "~~~~", or four tildes, to let the person know that you messaged them. Also, if you are replying back to a person, make sure you include the "Re:" before the heading of the last post they sent you.

People Who Can Edit Your Talk Page

Usually, other users message you on your talk page about certain topics. Of course, you can edit your own talk page, but it is recommended you message them back on theirs, because that way they'll see it immediately when they log onto the wiki or on other wikis. You are NOT to remove messages from yours or others talk pages unless it is for archiving.

However, occasionally your talk page may be subject to spams or vandalism. If so, you may undo the bad edits immediately. Now, maybe another user sees this spamming or vandalism. They are allowed to edit your profile, but ONLY to undo the bad edits. That should be the only time another user can edit your profile.

Rules That Must Be Followed

Of course, there are limitations as to what to write on another user's talk page, and including your own. A talk page cannot contain material deemed unacceptable by an administrator or by other users. Now, users can report whether they are feel offense or unnecessary things on your talk page. If so, and if their complaints are deemed reasonable, your particular edit to that talk page will be undone.

Failure to comprehend may result in warnings and even a block.

Violations

  • Should not be in violation of any other policies we have on this wiki.
  • Talk Page should not contain any pornographic material. If such a thing is found, it will be removed and the user will be blocked without warning. A block of one year is the absolute minimum. No exceptions. If the user page is suggestive, depending on how others feel, it will or will not be removed. If people are very disturbed by it, you will receive a warning or a three-week block.
  • No advertising other wikis.
  • Do not remove messages from your talk page, or on others. The only time you should remove messages on yours is if you plan on archiving them. You can archive another user's, if they grant you permission.
  • No racism, ethnic slurs, sexism, ship warring, ect.
  • Keep a neutral mood while editing and leaving messages. Of course, you can joke around and maybe a little teasing, but if the person you message finds it an unsuitable thing, you will be warned.
  • Keep your messages relevant to the topic and try not to stray from anything un-related to the wiki.
  • Profanity can be used. If it excesses, you will be warned.
